He might get a low taper with it, but overall, he keeps it faded and low.

Then ask for a low taper fade with a #1.5 or #2 guards on the sides.

If you want it faded all around instead of just the sides, go with a low fade all around instead.

In Creed, MBJ is rocking a low taper with a light-taper in the back.

He also rocks a thick goatee as well. 

100% recommend this look for any brother out there.

Black Panther dreads look

In Black Panther, MBJ rocked dreadlocks (mostly extensions) with an undercut fade.

Would I recommend this look for most brothers?

Absolutely not.

That was for a movie role

And let’s be real, you’re probably not on MBJ’s level when it comes to facial features.

Most of us have average bone structure or softer jawlines.

I’d recommend sticking with a low cut fade or low taper instead.

It’s simple, low maintenance, and it’ll look good every single time.

In Sinners, MBJ has a thick mustache + goatee.

However, it looks slightly unkept for the movie role, so I wouldn’t rock this style exactly.

Now let’s talk about a full beard look vs. clean shaven. I’ll leave two reference images here:

Fellas, let’s be honest—

There’s a night and day difference between MBJ with and without his beard.

There are some of us who can rock a clean shaven look; however, there are many who can’t.

I’d say this—if you’re an older guy (30+)

I’d recommend cutting off your beard at least once just to see how it would look on you.

For my younger guys out there, try growing a beard.

I personally rock clean shaven all day, but it just depends on your underlying facial structure.

Why? Because the plaid grabs too much attention, and the colors don’t work well together.

The red and black combo feels heavy, the suit clashes with the shoes, and it stands out—but not in a good way.
